My Approach

When you meet with me, I'll take your full health history and ask you many questions. I'll perform relevant physical exams, investigate what could be causing your health concerns, and form a plan that is typically divided up in phases. This unique style of practice helps you to take successful steps that are easily approachable in order to reach your goals.

We'll get you started by treating your immediate concerns and manage symptoms so you feel confident and capable to move forward.

I want you to be successful in the long-term so we'll also incorporate knowledge and tools that you can take with you when you leave our appointments!

Q: What are some of your favourite activities outside the office?
A: I love cooking, getting outside in the sun, lifting weights, reading, practicing yoga, and yes - vegging out on the couch when I need it! Did I mention my bubble bath gets used frequently??

Q: What's your favourite food?
A: HA! Should I say kale chips and zoodles? No, I'll be honest - my absolutely favourite, last-meal-on-earth kinda food, is definitely potato gnocchi in a vodka rose sauce. YUM. Likely my Italian heritage showing!

Q: Did you always know you wanted to be a naturopathic doctor?
A: Would you believe me if I told you I wanted to be a cardiothoracic surgeon up until I graduated from Dalhousie University? I didn't always want to be a naturopath but I felt driven to change the world of healthcare after the death of my father and chronic disease struck family members who were given little to no options in the conventional system. Seeing how naturopathic medicine helped my family alongside their doctor's suggestions made me realize that there was more to be offered!

Q: Were you always super healthy and focused on lifestyle and nutrition?
A: I think I may have been the opposite of this! I struggled with healthy eating and rarely moved my body. Through habit formation and small changes I've almost lost 100lbs from my highest weight, tons of body fat, and reduced my risk of so many diseases. It took me a while - this is pretty recent! Knowledge isn't always enough to change our behaviours - motivation is key. I just found mine a bit later.

"I still don't know if you can help me!"

Why don't we have a quick chat?
Give me 10 minutes and we'll know if we're a good fit.
